There's a proverbial gold rush happening today, of people trying to launch chatbots for their businesses to help automate some of their sales and marketing efforts that are needed to properly grow and scale in today's market. Launching and building a vacation rental business might require some sweat equity along with the right turnkey software solution to help you keep things organized as bookings ramp up, but if you have an acute attention to detail, then this is by far one of the best businesses you can start online. Of course, this does operate in the real world, but your web presence and marketing skills are really what define this business and helps it to succeed.
At HubSpot, we use ... well, we use HubSpot at HubSpot. It comes with a Content Management System (CMS), which allows you to create and publish content quickly in a format that's web-friendly. Whether you use HubSpot or another CMS, you need some CMS so your content marketing team can easily set up a blog, add blog posts, and add website pages without having to get help from IT or developers.
People no longer routinely call a travel agent to buy their plane tickets and book hotels for them. The internet has revolutionized that. But if you specialize in niche travel, such as exotic destinations for wealthy clients, you have the potential to make a good living working from home, says Tom Ogg, a travel industry veteran and founder of HomeBasedTravelAgent.com.
When tax season rolls around and people are Googling answers to their tax preparation questions, they stumble upon your blog posts, and realize you offer tax preparation services. Some of them keep doing their own tax preparation, but perhaps keep you in mind for next year; others throw their hands up in the air, decide to rid themselves of tax preparation headaches for good, and hire you -- because you're clearly way more qualified to do this than they are.
In this module, you will be introduced to the content marketing ecosystem. You will be able to define what content marketing is and explain why it is important in today's market. You will discover the purpose of what content should be able to do and what makes content effective. You will discover the importance of how your own professional brand can play in the importance of your company's content marketing strategy and you will build your own professional brand. You will build a personal website to help build your brand and in the final lesson, you will be able to discuss the editorial process for content and describe the benefits and importance of having a content calendar.
With the pace of social media and the frequency of blogging, not to mention that many of your content assets will be used across multiple campaigns and teams, a lightweight project management tool is critical. I recommend using a free software called Trello, which helps you organize your content, set deadlines, attach files, and collaborate with multiple teammates. Another great tool for keeping content projects organized from planning to publishing is Zerys -- a content marketing tool with a built-in marketplace of professional writers.

How to use Just Unfollow: One way that many experts recommend to keep your Twitter following count in line with your Twitter follower count is to routinely check to see which accounts are following you back and to remove the ones that aren’t. With Just Unfollow, you can do this quickly and easily all from one page—and even whitelist the unfollowers whom you’d like to keep following.
So I can look up my competitors' site in Ahrefs and cross reference it with my own website. It'll show what links the competitor has that I don't have. Then it will hit up every one of those websites and it will be like, “Hey Bob, I noticed you linked to Eric's website SingleGrain.com. And you linked to XYZ article. I also have a similar article on my website, but my article breaks down ABC which Eric doesn't get into. If you find it valuable, feel free to share it with your readers.” And I'll send them a link to my post at the end of that e-mail.
If you have a knack for creating unique images, there’s no need to fuss over your own inventory. If your creations can be easily printed onto a product, then you can make money. Upload your designs on a variety of websites like CafePress. If someone likes them, the company prints them up and ships the product. You could create unique designs for calendars, books, T-shirts, bags, hats, greeting cards, or posters and get a commission for each one sold. Some of these sites include Zazzle, Teespring and Lulu.
Another one of my favorite tools was actually created by Neil and it's called Crazy Egg. Years ago, Neil used to have an agency. They worked with big companies like General Motors and a lot of Fortune 500s, like Viacom and HP. Neil would get them more traffic and then they would be like, “Neil, we're getting all these extra visitors, but none of them are converting. What's wrong? Is the traffic not relevant?”
Once you’ve created an amazing video to share on social media or your website, where will you put it? The default seems to be YouTube, which is quick and easy but comes with less control and potentially some unrelated ads or suggestions. Wistia is made for marketers’ videos because the player keeps people on your page—or sends them precisely where you want them to go next.
•The website has no contact information. A legitimate business has a way for you to reach them. Look for an "About" page that offers information on the company or CEO, along with a phone number, address, or contact email. (Try calling the number to see if anyone answers.) A website with only a contact form and no other way to get in touch with an actual human is suspicious.
Part of transitioning to a media publishing mindset requires a change in structure and process to create content at the speed of culture. The old model you see on shows like Mad Men is too slow and cumbersome. By the time an idea becomes an ad, it is out of date. Marketers are increasingly co-locating insights, creative, production, legal approval, and placement to increase interaction and speed in producing and distributing content. Marketing content production is transforming from an advertising agency model to a newsroom model.
And those keywords, if you can nudge them up a few spots, you'll see a huge difference in your traffic. You don't even have to nudge them up by building links or anything like that. It could just be as simple as, “Oh this is the keyword that's getting me traffic impressions, but I'm not getting a lot of clicks. Why not?” If you look at your title and your meta description, chances are that keyword is not in there. So if you put that keyword in your title tag and your meta description, you'll get way more traffic.
You'll need some analytics for your website and blog so you can measure your content marketing performance against your goals. Some content marketing teams rely on Google Analytics, others rely on more robust closed-loop solutions that make it easy to tie content marketing activities at the top of the funnel to revenue. I recommend the latter if you want to use metrics to prove the success of your content marketing program so you can secure more budget and grow the team. If you're looking for an easy way to share numbers across your organization, look into DataHero. This tool integrates with the HubSpot software and allows you to track, visualize, and share your analytics through customized dashboards and charts.
